Today was my first day off of work in over 4 weeks, so i decided to make the most of this 50 degree rainy day and hit the river. Kasey had me by 3 fish, until i caught big momma this morning.
Nothing better than an 18 3/4" female Brown. Not my biggest brown, but sure is a beauty. I missed one just before i caught her. It hit my fly hard and broke my line off. That fish was at least as big as this one maybe bigger.
Unfortunatly she took the fly down deep and hooked the inside of the gills. she was bleeding pretty bad and i knew she would die so i decided to keep her for supper. when i gutted her she had a full sized mouse in her stomach.
One heck of a day...wouldn't you say Kasey?
